Christmas Eve
My dad's family celebrates Christmas Eve every year at his cousins house. This has been a family tradition since my dad was young. So, the tradition continues! We love seeing my dad's family since we don't get to see them very often. This year, Lilly finally felt comfortable sitting on Santa's lap ( with me). It was neat to get a picture of Santa, me and Lilly! This will be a picture that I'll have forever.( Look close at Santa) We had a wonderful time chatting with cousins, watching the kids play and singing Christmas songs! I cherish these moments, because I know that soon enough, Lilly will be one of the big kids off doing their own thing and Christmas won't be as exciting!
Duff Family Christmas 2013
Every year on December 23rd, we spend the evening with my family, at my parents house. It's just us Duff kids, our significant others and our kids. My parents plan a special Christmas night for us and do they plan! We walked into my parents house and it was like walking into the North Pole. Music was playing, decorations everywhere, food out and drinks ready to be served. My parents were smart, they hid the presents downstairs until it was gift time! That way, we could catch up, snack and drink some wine for a bit. The kids were beyond excited to open presents! After a delicious dinner, we passed out just the siblings gifts and kids gifts. From there, we headed downstairs to large piles of gifts for each family. Of course my parents don't do small!! You should have seen the kids faces and I think the adults too! We took turns ripping opens presents and admiring everything my parents got us! We all had a wonderful time. We left feeling full, overjoyed and ready for the Christmas festivities to begin. Thanks, Mom and Dad.
