Dress Up and Spray Park!
The other day my cousin Julie came over with Sophie and Will. That same day, my parents watched Preston and Malaina, so I said to bring them over to play too. The kids had a ball playing outside in the pool, water table and dressing up inside. I didn't get many pictures, but here are a few.
There is also some pictures from the spray park. I met Stacie and the kids, and Andrea and her kids there. It was a hot day, so running through the sprinklers was a great way to cool off. However, Lilly wasn't a fan of the sprinklers. I kinda new she would be apprehensive, but wanted to try it anyway. We spent most of our time at the playground. By the end of our morning, she was playing in some of the sprinklers. (the ones that didn't spray her in the face).

Dance Class

The teacher reads the kids a story before they go into dance class.Last week on Tuesday, Lilly went to her first dance class at Dance Dynamics. It was an exciting day for her and me! I've been debating on signing her up because I just know she'll love it and it will turn into our lives. Yes, she is still young, but it will happen quicker than we think! But, if it makes her happy, that's all that counts.
This is a big step for her because I'm not in the room with her. At gymnastics, I was. This is perfect for her- she's getting bigger. Being in a class with other kids and taking direction from a teacher is important for her to learn. ( I know, it's the teacher in me talking). She was nervous, but didn't cry. When she came out, she was all smiles. And, this week she was showing us what she learned. She has class tonight and can't wait. Plus, her friend Kaelyn will be there!!

4th of July
Here are a few pictures from our wonderful weekend at the cottage. It was great to get out of town for a few days and relax, boat, swim, sleep, read, talk... do just about anything! Lilly had many first's this weekend. She rode on the jet ski, on the four wheeler and went swimming off the boat. It was so exciting to watch her experience these life moments for the first time! Of course we didn't have the camera to capture them all though.
Friday's are Family Day

As you all know, Ryan doesn't work on Friday's and right now, I don't either! So, we usually try to keep it open so we can spend the day together as a family. Last Friday, we had big plans to get up and head out to the Toledo Zoo... but of course when we finally decide on something different and that we haven't done yet, the weather doesn't cooperate! That's okay, we went to Chuck E Cheeses' instead! It wasn't on the top of my list, but it was something to do! Well.. don't knock it until you try it, because it was great! It was clean and full of rides, games and prizes for Lilly. Plus, we got to enjoy some adult fun too... ski ball! We were 1 of 3 families there, so it was perfect. We finished with lunch at the local Coney and headed home. We had a perfect family morning!

More Birthdays

On June 1st, my dad turned 60. I didn't even realize that he was going to be 60 until I ran into someone that knows my dad and mentioned it. I can't believe my dad is 60... so that only means I am getting old too! My dad looks great, he's healthy and definitelydoesn't seem 60. He's still working (part time), although sometimes we keep him full time between my house, the salon and my sisters house! But, all in all, my dad is doing great! So, it was just another birthday. Age doesn't mean a thing... right? We celebrated at my parents house with a delicious dinner, cake and silly kids! Of course, a birthday in our family means the kids blow out the candles and act as though it's their birthday! They loved helping my dad open his cards and presents.
What would a celebration be with out music and dancing. There was plenty of live entertainment- the kids love dancing to Black Eyed Peas! We also celebrated Stacie Lynn's birthday. She turned 31! Happy Birthday Dad and Stacie. We wish you a year full of love, health and happiness!
Memorial Day Parade

We weren't able to go out to the cottage this year because my dad had a small surgery and the rest of the family was out of town. Actually, it wasn't that bad staying home and catching up on things around the house. Plus, we got to venture out to the Walled Lake Memorial Day Parade. We were invited to set up camp at the Lynch n' Son's Funeral Home. (one of my 2nd graders family own's it). It was prime seating complete with food, water and a place for the kids to go to the bathroom if they needed too. It was great! I took my mom, and brother with his family. The kids had a ball seeing the parade and frankily, the adults did too. Lilly, Preston and Lanie collected tons of candy. It was hot, but worth it. I even got my base tan (sunburn) for the summer!
